TACO SALAD | LOW – CARB | KETO

My wife loves using spices, and our top favorites are cumin and chili powder. We are going to use those spices for the recipe I am sharing today.

This is another low carb recipe, which is one of my wife's favorites. We usually eat this once or twice a week, depending on how cheap the romaine lettuce is every Saturday (Tiangge Day), but if there is no lettuce, we substitute it with cabbage. You can use either ground beef or pork or both for this one.

Another reason why this is a favorite is because it is easy to prepare, perfect for those busy working. Here are the ingredients you need. You can adjust ingredients and measurements to your liking.

Taco Salad
1/4 kilo ground beef/pork
1 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Jalapeño (optional)
romaine lettuce or cabbage
tomatoes
cheese (Ques-O)
Cucumber
onions
lemon
Kewpie mayo (red) or homemade mayo

Fry beef until brown.
Add all spices and jalapeño (if using) and mix well.
Assemble all veggies on a plate.
Add beef on top of the veggies.
Add mayo and grated cheese.

Mix and squeeze some lemon before eating. We put the remaining ingredients in the fridge for next day consumption.
