Low Carb Deep Dish Pizza, Almond Flour Crust

For those of us on low carb, grain free, gluten free, or LCHF diets a nice deep dish pizza is something we may have believed we'd never be able to eat guilt free again. Thank goodness for this great recipe. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Servings: 8
Cooking Time: ~60 Minutes
4 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
2 cups almond meal
salt/pepper to taste
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
4 mild Italian sausages, cooked and drained
1 pound mushrooms, sliced and cooked
4 oz pepperoni or salami
2/3 cup no sugar added tomato sauce
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

• Preheat oven to 400F
• Mix 2 ½ cups of cheese with the almond meal, eggs, and seasonings. Use a pastry cutter to mix it well.
• Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a greased 9″ springform pan.
• Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
• Remove from oven and decrease oven temperature to 350F.
• Layer sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms in the crust.
• Place additional 2 cups of cheese and top with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese.
• Bake for 20-30 minutes.
• Allow to rest 10 minutes (the hardest part).
• Cut into 8 pieces and enjoy!
