BLT Salad Nutrition* (per 1/2 recipe):
Energy – 592 Cal
Fat – 44 g
Carbs – 12.1 g
Fibre – 7 g
Protein – 40 g
*Nutrition Information is based off of the measurements below and using the exact ingredients I used. The macros may vary if you are using different Brands, quantities or ingredients.
BLT Salad Ingredients (2 servings):
– 4 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
– 1 Tomato, diced
– 2 Chicken breasts, sliced (~150 g total)
– 2 Hardboiled Eggs, sliced
– 6 slices Bacon, chopped
– 1 Avocado, sliced
– 2 Tbsp Pumpkin seeds
– 2 Tbsp Hemp hearts
– 2 Tbsp Bacon fat
– 2 Tbsp Red wine vinegar
– Black Pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Fry the bacon in a pan or in the oven and set aside. Reserve 2 Tbsp of the rendered bacon fat for the dressing.
2. To make the dressing whisk together the bacon fat, red wine vinegar and black pepper.
3. Toss the dressing with the Romaine lettuce and tomatoes.
4. To serve plate half of the salad mixture then top with the remaining ingredients.
5. Enjoy!
