Low Carb Oatmeal Recipe

When I started hiking, food was a huge concern for me, being on a low carb diet. You can't bring Mountain House meals when they have ~150 per bag. Here's an alternative to those meals. Hope you enjoy.

Recipe:
60 grams (~1/2 cup) Hemp Hearts
28 grams (2 scoops) protein powder
15 grams (2 Tbls) Powdered Peanut Butter (
Stevia or other sweetener to taste
Water (I used 1.5 cups and it needed Xanthan Gum – so start with less – try 1 cup).
